On March 24, the Deputy General Director of JIZZAKH PETROLEUM LLC Masrur Shakirov met with Khakim (Mayor) of the Bukhara region Batyr Zaripov, where Masrur Shakirov presented to Khakim a petrochemical plant project based on MTO (methanol-to-olefins) technology in the Karakul, Bukhara region.
For the construction of this plant, 250 hectares of land were allocated in the Karakul region, as well as a detailed and comprehensive study of the impact of the complex on the environment was carried out, where expert opinions from the regional administrations of land resources, health, and the environment were obtained.
During the construction of this facility, it is planned to attract 8 thousand construction specialists, and after its start, annually produce more than 700 thousand tons of polymer products and employ more than a thousand local youth.
During the negotiations, the organizational issues of the facility construction process were discussed in detail. It is important to mention that current project will have a positive impact not only for the economy of Karakul and Alat regions, but of the entire region. The Khokim of the region, who is directly interested in the effectiveness of the project and is interested in its launch, proposed to speed up the constructional works.
