On July 19, 2024, the annual meeting of United World Colleges (UWC) was held as part of the UWC project, gathering students and alumni, as well as assessors and volunteers of the program. The event took place at the Enter Engineering group’s office and provided an excellent opportunity for networking and experience sharing.
Participants shared their unique insights into the UWC program. The presentations were particularly beneficial for newcomers beginning their studies, as these inspiring stories helped them understand what lies ahead and reinforced their confidence in their abilities.
Students and alumni also highlighted social projects aimed at improving lives, including educational programs for women in Afghanistan, language courses for immigrants in the USA, and math tutoring for children from low-income families in Thailand.
Special attention was given to the achievements of alumni who have gained admission to prestigious universities such as St. Lawrence University, University of Rochester, Vanderbilt University, and The University of Oklahoma. These successes reflect the high standards of education and support offered by the UWC program and serve as inspiration for future generations of students.
Following the program, participants enjoyed lunch together, where they continued to share their impressions and stories about their UWC experiences. This meeting strengthened the spirit of UWC scholars, highlighting that their connection goes beyond the program itself; it lies in their shared values and aspirations.
The UWC program receives financial and operational support from ERIELL, Enter Engineering, and the Gas Chemical Complex MTO. The group believes that initiatives like UWC empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to contribute significantly to the development of not only Uzbekistan but the entire world.
