Large-scale works on preparation of the site for construction of the main component of the Gas Chemical Complex based on MTO technology — Methanol Island have been launched on the territory of FEZ “Karakul”.
A fleet of heavy construction equipment consisting of 10 excavators, about 30 dump trucks and 4 bulldozers is involved in the works. As of today, over 240 thousand cubic meters of soil have already been removed. In total, about 800 thousand cubic meters of soil will be excavated during the preparatory work. Methanol island with total area of 15 hectares is a key component of MTO Gas Chemical Complex which will include methanol installation for the production of synthesis gas with the capacity of 1.3 million tons per year, as well as air separation installation unit which will produce oxygen and nitrogen for industrial needs.
