A kick-off meeting was held in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region, dedicated to the construction of the Gas Chemical Complex based on the MTO technology (GCC MTO). The meeting was attended by representatives of the Customer and the EPC contractor — Enter Engineering.

A number of issues related to the construction of the MCC MTO was discussed during the meeting, including main technical parameters of the complex, shipment and delivery of equipment schedule, logistics and access to communications, as well as coordination with governmental authorities and regulatory organizations.

In addition, were raised some issues of ensuring safety of the personnel of the EPC-contractor involved in preparing the site for the construction of the MCC MTO, including conducting special safety trainings and equipping construction equipment with special signals. Also, during the meeting were discussed such issues as the mobilization of personnel and equipment and presence on site supervision specialists.

In connection with the onset of the spring-summer season, special attention at the meeting was paid to equipping the medical center with serums (antidotes) from snake and arthropod bites and stings. There are 6 species of poisonous snakes in Uzbekistan, of which 3 are of particular danger to humans — the Central Asian cobra, sand efa and gyurza. Among arthropods, the most dangerous is karakurt spider, also known as the black widow. Scorpions are also quite common. However, they are most active during nighttime.
