International agency Globuc Business Club, within the framework of the 10th anniversary conference "Oil and Gas Chemistry and Refining of Central Asia and the Caspian Sea", held from September 12 to 14 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), noted achievements of the GCC MTO and included the company in the short-list of its award "Breakthrough of the Year in ESG".
The comprehensive ESG policy implemented by GCC MTO is aimed at addressing such issues relevant to the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan as creating new jobs and ensuring decent working conditions, supporting medium and small enterprises, creating urban and rural infrastructure, applying resource reuse technologies, supporting educational initiatives for the local population, improving territories in the region of operation, reducing energy consumption through the use of solar energy, as well as fighting desertification and climate change.
Just in the past year, the company has not only developed and implemented a number of important elements of the sustainability management system, but also a number of charitable, educational and socio-environmental activities aimed at helping vulnerable populations, preserving cultural heritage and the environment.
The winner will be determined by the Globuc Business Club Expert Council, whose members will review the nominees and their programs in detail, as well as note the efforts to develop the industry, and then will make the final decision.
The winner will be awarded during the gala reception dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the conference, which will be held in the evening of September 13 at the Rixos Almaty Hotel.
