Under this Olympic slogan, which translates as “Faster, Higher, Stronger!”, the first decade of November passed for the employees of the MTO Gas Chemical Complex who took part in the International Charity Run Samarkand Marathon 2023 and achieved 5th place in the team standings of the International 3×3 Basketball Tournament of the Enter Engineering Trade Union Committee.
The Samarkand Marathon charity race was held for the fifth time and this year gathered over 3000 running enthusiasts from 43 countries of the world.
15 employees from Internal Audit and Organizational Development Department, ESG Department, Construction Department, PR Department, Engineering and Technology Department, as well as other structural divisions of the MTO Gas Chemical Complex took part in the event.
This year the Marathon was divided into two stages: on November 4th the children’s races and Nordic Walking competitions were held, and on November 5, the classic 42.2 km marathon, half-marathon (21.1 km), as well as races for 2, 5 and 10 km.
Company’s employees also stood out in the International Basketball Tournament in 3×3 format of Enter Engineering Trade Union Committee, timed to the celebration of the Day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan. Out of 12 teams that took part in the tournament, the GCC MTO team won an honorable 5th place in the team standings.
