Anchor resident of the free economic zone

FEZ is the first industrial platform in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Central Asia for the implementation of large gas chemical projects.

Технология Methanol to Olefin

Unique technology of gas chemical synthesis of ethylene and propylene from methanol. The licensor is implementing a project based on MTO technology outside of China for the first time.

Flagship of the Third Renaissance

Science and knowledge have become a source of development for Uzbekistan and its people. The gas chemical complex is the result of the work of an international team of experts, engineers and investors using the world's best achievements to implement the project.

Polyethylene, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polypropylene

The products of the Gas Chemical complex will become raw materials for related sectors of the economy. Popular consumer goods will be produced from polymer materials.

Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance

The standards of the company's activities correspond to the best practices of the UN Sustainable Development. Following the principles of ESG allows GHK to produce products that meet the highest requirements of society, business, and the state.

Gas chemical complex project overview

Construction of a gas chemical complex based on MTO technology in Karakul, Bukhara region

The gas chemical complex based on MTO technology is a modern facility created on innovative technologies for processing natural gas with a low content of valuable components and manufacturing plastic products.

The schematic flow diagram includes the following processes. Treated dry natural (commercial) gas is fed to synthesis gas production block of the MeOH unit. Pure oxygen from the air separation unit is directed for synthesis gas recovery. Synthesis gas is converted into methanol at the methanol synthesis block, followed by intermediate goods of the appropriate “MTO-grade” quality. Then methanol is delivered to the MTO (Methanol to Olefin) unit, the heart of the Gas chemical complex. Light olefins (ethylene and propylene) from the MTO unit are further polymerized into Low density polyethylene, High density polyethylene, Ethylene vinyl acetate, Polyethylene terephthalate and Polypropylene.

Selection of MTO technology is driven by the specific composition of natural gas produced on the territory of Uzbekistan, mainly methane with a minimum content of heavier components, such as ethane, propane and butane, which are the main raw materials for gas chemical synthesis.
